Free, public workshop
2025
@ The Waiting Room
{B/qKC}
On June 19th, I kicked off {B/qKC}‘s first-ever popular education series with a group of over 20 individuals at the intersections of organizing, artistry, archiving and more.
The workshop series begins with Workshop_1: Archiving As Power and Repair, where we explored the archival science I’ve been developing over the past year, and built shared definitions around fascism, indoctrination, and how fight back through the archive.
Workshop Description
Attendees will learn the fundamentals of {B/qKC}’s radical archival science via popular education––specifically exploring how archival materials can be used to generate actions around communal power-building and advocating for reparations. This session will also provide practical tools and resources for creating a personal archive; and a special demonstration of analog-to-digital media preservation.
